Content MARKETING

By Anita Noon | August 30th 2019

WHY is posting content on social media so important and WHAT should you post? Read on to find out more …

So, you know you need to put lots of value content (non sales stuff) on (because that is what people keep telling you and they are right) but what?

💡 The idea is that you want as many people online (and offline) to see you or your business, thus increasing your sales opportunity … you have to be ‘out there’ to be noticed and seen as the ‘go to person’ in your industry! If you are everywhere, people start to take notice. You begin to separate yourself from others in your field. You position yourself as the expert, the number one person to go to for a certain product or service.

The amazing thing about social media is that you can reach out to and build relationships with sooooo many more people than was previously possible! Of course it takes time and effort, but you didn’t ever think running a business wouldn’t require this surely? 🤔 In terms of how big an audience you can grow (full of your target market) … it’s huge, bigger than huge, its massive and even bigger than massive … so the world really is your oyster 😉

HOW do you know what to post?

Well, let’s start with … what are your most frequently asked questions? Guaranteed, there will be some questions that regularly come up with a prospect or a new client. Why not start with answering some of these? What you will find is that this helps you stand out from the others in your industry who may not be addressing these FAQ’s. Customer behaviours have changed, as a general rule, humans don’t like being sold to. There is a very high percentage of people who would much rather know all about the product or service they are thinking of purchasing BEFORE they contact a business. If you happen to be the company that provide all that information, is it less likely or more likely that they will feel more comfortable about approaching you over a competitor?

The great thing about creating content around FAQ’s is that if you don’t already have this as a section on your website, you will have now and if you do already have one, it may be time for an update … what are the REAL questions that people ask you?

If you are really stuck on what to post or don’t have the time to create and post content to ATTRACT new customers, you MUST consider it a priority to find someone who does. An employee who has a flare for creative writing, or look to outsource the work.

Oh and by the way, if you are still reading this (thanks 🙏🏻) I have just one last thing to mention:

🗝 The  KEY to content posting ➢ to position yourself as an expert ➢ and increase your sales is that ➢ it  must be CONSISTENT. Don’t let your posts be adhoc and irregular, that will have no impact on your business. Post often, with purpose and clarity. Think about the message you want to deliver, the image you want to portray …. and nail it!!
